Live with local and Caribbean students in on-campus dormitories (both single sex and mixed-gender) There are individual and shared rooms, and every few rooms share a communal kitchen and common room. UWI’s residence halls have strong student engagement and there are lots of opportunities to participate in hall-wide events.

  • Choose from courses within a wide range of majors in departments of engineering, social sciences, humanities and education, food and agriculture, science and technology, law, and medical sciences.
  • Take courses such as The History of Carnival in Trinidad which, together with courses in the Department of Festival Studies, gives hands-on experience of every aspect of Carnival (Spring semester is Carnival time in Trinidad).
  • Study in one of the most important university systems in the English-speaking Caribbean, University of West Indies (UWI) has produced 18 heads of state, three Nobel Prize winners, and over 60 Rhodes scholars.

I was born and raised in Trinidad and received my B.A. Arts and General Studies with a major in Sociology from UWI. Like you, I love to travel and experience different cultures. Comprehensive Fees

The comprehensive fees for the academic year are listed below. Please keep in mind that every school has a different financial policy for study abroad. Your university may pay BCA for all fees listed below, they may only pay for tuition while you pay BCA directly for housing, or they may require you to pay BCA directly for tuition and housing. It’s important that you talk to your study abroad advisor and financial aid office to learn your school’s approach to financing BCA’s program and what your financial responsibility will be.
