BCA joins the Fair Trade Learning movement!

BCA Study Abroad is committing to the ideals of Fair Trade Learning and committing to a new future. Peace and justice have always been at the core of BCA’s and Amizade’s missions. Now the impact of this work will expand as Amizade assumes operations for BCA and leads the charge for a brighter future.

Amizade will carry forward BCA’s legacy by enriching and expanding programming in many of its historic sites, innovating BCA’s program model, and managing an endowment that will offer more low-income and at-risk students the opportunity to better engage with the world.

Who’s Amizade?

Amizade is a 25 year-old non-profit organization that is a pioneer and world leader in ethically considerate global service-learning. Its mission is to inspire empathy, catalyze social action, and
link diverse networks though Fair Trade Learning. Each year, Amizade collaborates with over 90 education partners – universities, high schools, government agencies, and community groups – to create life-changing experiences for young people. To date, they have positively impacted over 13,000 people in twelve countries.
