BCA has an agreement with a local primary and secondary school in Valladolid where BCA students can observe and participate in classes, as well as have meetings with Spanish professors. Students earn credit for the experience by participating in a formal internship at the school, which will be supervised by the BCA Valladolid Resident Director, and completing a final report on the experience.
BCA recognizes that each state has different requirements regarding training and licenses for teachers, so any education majors looking to intern in Valladolid should work with their faculty adviser to determine home school requirements and what the internship can satisfy.
The number of credits earned is negotiable based on the amount of time the student can commit to the internship each week. A maximum of three-credits can be earned for this internship each semester. It is the responsibility of each student to arrange credit-transfer to their home institution. Credits for the internship will appear on your transcript from Universitas Castellae.
