Valladolid hosts many important museums, including the world famous National Religious Sculpture Museum, the Oriental Museum, the Contemporary Art Museum, and the Wine Museum of Peñafiel. The Cathedral of Valladolid and the churches of San Miguel, La Cruz, and Las Angustias conserve many objects of great artistic value, while the churches of SanPablo and La Antigua are architectural treasures in themselves. The entire city of Valladolid is a classroom, and we encourage you to explore your surroundings, an ideal way to apply the material learned in class to daily life. Take advantage of the various cultural activities during your free time to immerse yourself in Hispanic culture and improve your language skills.
Housing and Meals
Experience Spanish life by living with a Spanish family! These families are carefully selected and evaluated to ensure each student is given the opportunity to experience complete immersion within the Spanish language, culture, and traditional social environment of Valladolid. Your meals will be provided by your host family, so you also have a chance to experience Spanish culinary traditions.
Universitas Castellae offers access to a computer lab. Students have ample time to use the computers during the school day. Additionally, all Universitas classrooms and buildings have WiFi. Not all host families will have Internet access available in their homes, so if you plan on taking your laptop computer with you, you should plan on using it at the university or at a local cyber café.
Local transportation includes RENFE (national train system), buses and Eurorail (for traveling throughout Europe).
