Strasbourg’s countless museums, shops, restaurants, and cafés offers many opportunities to meet students and Strasbourg’s citizens alike.  You can stroll through museums at discounted rates, attend world-renowned festivals, and examine Strasbourg’s unique architecture that blends German and French influences on practically every street. People interested in world affairs will find that Strasbourg is a hub for international organizations, including , the Council of Europe (with its European Court of Human Rights, its European Directorate for the Quality of Medicines and its European Audiovisual Observatory), Eurocorps, the European Parliament,  the European Ombudsman of the European Union and the International Institute of Human Rights.  Exploring beyond Strasbourg is easy! You can use the excellent transportation system to explore different parts of France, Germany, Luxembourg and Belgium and beyond!

Housing & Meals

You will stay with host families in neighborhoods within easy range of the university. You will share breakfast and dinner each day with your host family but will be responsible for preparing or purchasing your own lunch.

  • internet access, local transportation. Wi-fi in each homestay location and throughout the University of Strasbourg campus, widely available throughout the city. Local transportation is both excellent and cheap.

Computer Access

You will have Wi-Fi in your homestay, throughout the University of Starsbourg campus and will also find it hot spots available throughout the city.

Transportation

Strasbourg has a highly developed public transportation system consisting of buses and trams. A monthly bus pass is included in the BCA fee.

Activities

There are plenty of ways to get involved in cultural life in Strasbourg. As a BCA student you will  have a Strasbourg University student card which offers discounts at many stores around Strasbourg and for long-distance rail travel; subsidized meals at university restaurants; access to university libraries and (for a small extra fee) access to university sports facilities. You will also have a culture card which provides heavily discounted entry to the ballet, theaters, the opera, music venues, movies , and museums around Alsace.
