BCA Quito students spent five days exploring two protected areas in the Amazon, a reserve (Limoncocha) and a National Park (Yasuni). Quichua guides introduced them to the vast biological diversity of the Amazon rainforest where they saw monkeys, numerous insects and birds. They also visited a Quichua indigenous community. The final two days of the five-day trip was spent learning about the contamination left by 30 years of oil drilling in northern Ecuadorian Amazon.
