Orientation is designed especially for new study abroad and exchange students and will provide you with important information about the University and living in London. You will hear about student life, safety and wellbeing and academic life to prepare you for your time at Roehampton. You will also register as fully-fledged Roehampton students and will finalize your modules. Finally, the Photo Frenzy scavenger hunt will introduce you to London. Starting at Roehampton and working in groups you will make your way through the clues – solving them to find your next photo destination in central London.

Roehampton’s collegiate system will allow you to quickly make friends and settle in, with a range of social activities taking place within your college. In addition, Roehampton Students’ Union holds campus events, runs campaigns and has loads of societies for you to join.

All BCA London students live in on-campus residence halls with local and international students. Study abroad students are typically placed in different accommodations around campus. Rooms are single occupancy study bedrooms with shared kitchen and bathrooms facilities, as well as Internet connection. There are plenty of cafés and diners on campus if you are unsure of your culinary skills!
The University aims to provide a supportive living and learning environment promoting academic and personal growth and a sense of community among students. There are different campus events through the year, where students represent their accommodation building! These events provide unity and comradery upon students!
Roehampton is located in South West London and has excellent transport links in and around London. We recommend you purchase an Oyster card – this is a card that you can top up and use on all tubes, trains and buses across the London. This can be purchased online before you arrive and it will be delivered to your home, so you are ready to explore London as soon as you arrive.
