 ABOUT THE SCHOOL

Students study at Maynooth University, situated in the historic, friendly college town of Maynooth just outside Dublin. Hop on a train to experience the thrill of Ireland’s capital just a few minutes away—you’ll enjoy music, theaters, pubs, literature, and all the excitement that Dublin has to offer on the exquisite east coast of Ireland.

Of the 10,000+ students at Maynooth University, 1,000 of them are international students.

Class sizes range from smaller classes to lecture halls with 100 students. You will be taking courses alongside Irish students and other international peers.

Maynooth courses are taught through seminars and lectures, with the majority of your grade being based on your final exam. The BCA signature course is taught in a more interactive and discussion-based format and will include a number of assignments throughout the term.

Student-run clubs and societies are a great way to get to know Irish students and stay connected to your passions. See what’s in store for you on Maynooth University’s beautiful campus!

LIVING SITUATIONS

You’ll live in a single room in an on-campus apartment. Flat mates are typically international students. Students usually cook for themselves, but there are also many restaurants and cafes near campus.

FURTHER INFORMATION

There are no internships set up through BCA for this program, although your resident director may have suggestions for you if you choose to seek one out on your own.

BCA students can join one of many societies focusing on student engagement and volunteerism. For example, join the Cancer Society’s Relay for Life event or serve with the St. Vincent de Paul society at a weekly soup kitchen in Dublin.

TECHNOLOGY

Wi-Fi is available in dorm rooms and across campus.
