Where do BCA Dublin students study?

Students study at Maynooth University, situated in the historic, friendly college town of Maynooth just outside Dublin. Hop on a train to experience the thrill of Ireland’s capital just a few minutes away—you’ll enjoy music, theaters, pubs, literature, and all the excitement that Dublin has to offer on the exquisite east coast of Ireland.

Of the 10,000+ students at Maynooth University, 1,000 of them are international students.

What are the class sizes?

Class sizes range from smaller classes to lecture halls with 100 students. You will be taking courses alongside Irish students and other international peers.

What is the teaching and assessment style abroad?

Courses are taught through seminars and lectures. Majority of your grade will be based on your final exam.

Living Situations

What are the accommodations like? Who will I be living with?

You’ll live in an apartment provided by the university with single and double rooms and a shared kitchen. Flat mates might be Irish students or other international students. Students will cook for themselves using meal stipends, or there are restaurants and cafes near campus. See our housing and meals page for more details.

Are internships available?

There are no internships set up through BCA for this program, although your resident director may have suggestions for you if you choose to seek one out on your own.

Are volunteer opportunities available?

There may be volunteering opportunities available such as joining the SVP Conference to help in the local community or helping with campus activities.
