 ABOUT THE SCHOOL

Students will study at Madras Christian College, rated among India’s top ten colleges for liberal arts and science. The school is located in the fourth-largest city in India, Chennai. Situated along the Bay of Bengal on the Coromandel Coast, Chennai is known for its film and theater sector, music, and wide range of industries such as business, healthcare, and more—making it a great place to find an internship!

There are about 7,000 students at Madras Christian College, including 200 international students.

Class size can vary across disciplines and ranges from around 25 to 70 students.

Teaching style might be different from what you’re used to, but in general classes consist of lecture and discussion. There is a final exam or term paper worth 50% of a student’s grade, and the other 50% is made up of smaller assignments, projects, and tests throughout the semester.

LIVING SITUATIONS

BCA students live on campus in air conditioned rooms that are furnished with a single bed, closet, desk and chair. Women are housed in Martin and Margaret Hall while men are housed in Thomas Hall. Meals will be provided in the dining room of each residence hall.
