Our Mission

Faithful to the values of peace and social justice that inspired its founding in 1962, BCA Study Abroad facilitates opportunities for growth in intercultural understanding and global awareness through study abroad programs that foster scholarship, community engagement and guided reflective learning.

We offer a fully comprehensive study abroad experience with university-based academics, home-stays and university housing, excursions and experiential learning opportunities in more than 15 locations around the world. Our on-site staff ensures the safety and well-being of each student and provides cross-cultural education in the historical, social and cultural context of the host country.

Here is our third place winner for the spring 2016 photo contest! Congratulations Calli! “BCA Student Conor Austin dances with students from the Social Work department of Madras Christian College at an Indian Independence day celebration for local school children. MCC students wore traditional regional clothing, danced, and performed skits with morals as part of the celebration. These dedicated and compassionate organizations work with our on-site staff to offer students opportunities to volunteer, intern or pursue independent research while studying abroad with BCA.

Scouting in New Zealand is a vibrant, co-educational experience for youth and is New Zealand’s largest mixed youth organization. Scouts changes lives by offering 6- to 26-year-olds fun and challenging activities, unique experiences, everyday adventure and the chance to help others to make a positive impact in our communities. From children to young adults, Scouts helps all to reach their full potential. Teamwork, time management, leadership, initiative, planning, communication, self-motivation, and cultural awareness are valuable skills that Scouts imparts. Learn More!
